Go fire engine driving and crew your very own Dennis fire engine!
The name Dennis is synonymous with fire and rescue. In their heyday, over 50% of all UK fire services were whizzing to incidents in bright red Dennis trucks. Brigades loved their robustness, power and reliability. Often hailed by those who drove them as the 'finest fire fighting appliances ever produced', you could always rely on a Dennis to do the job.
Now it’s you who will be at the wheel of the iconic Dennis. You’ll be at the helm of the engine for around 20-minutes. It’s pretty exciting stuff from the word go. The anticipation and excitement you feel just clambering up into the cab. This is it. You're in an actual, real, genuine ex-fire service engine. Once settled, it’s time to get going.
And it’s just as good as you’d always imagined. There’s a very powerful 8.2l turbo-charged engine under your feet. The likes of the famous Sabre and Rapier Dennis appliances needed a whole load of torque to get you, your crew, the ladders, hoses, cutting gear and all the rest of the fire and rescue gear to the emergency call out as quickly (and safely) as possible.
Fortunately, you won’t be getting any emergency shouts on your drive, but you will be allowed to toot that air horn and get the blues and twos on for that authentic ‘neee-nahh’ moment!
What’s great about these fire engine driving experiences is that they are suitable for all ages from 10 years. No need for a driving licence. No need for any previous experience rescuing cats from trees. This is all about you up front driving a real fire engine!
