We look forward to welcoming you to Plumpton Racecourse where we transform the roads and car park into a fantastic road system with roundabouts, junctions, parking practice areas and manoeuvring areas, as well as big open spaces for beginners to master clutch and gears.
More experienced drivers can tackle junctions including cross roads, roundabouts, give ways and stop junctions as we have a mixture of one and two way roads. We have free parking, toilets, light refreshments and a dedicated viewing area.
Making a day of it? Located at the foot of the South Downs, Plumpton offers easy access to walking trails. You can also enjoy a nice meal at The Half Moon Pub & Venue, a quintessentially English, award-winning pub in the heart of the village. A bit further down the road you can visit the Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, focusing on local 20th-century art or the Anne of Cleves House.
Plumpton Racecourse is situated on Plumpton Lane only 1.5 miles off the B2116, and 8 miles form the A23, leaving at the Pyecombe services junction. Our signposted main entrance on Plumpton Lane is 200 yards beyond the bridge on the left (coming from Ditching) and 0.5 miles past the train station (coming through Plumpton Green), up the hill on the right.
Plumpton station is situated at the bottom of the course and is less than a 5-minute walk to the North entrance. Plumpton is served by a regular train service between London Victoria and Eastbourne/Hastings
Young Driver is located on the Inner Circle of the Racecourse with the Reception in the room to the right hand side of the Plumpton Racecourse gates,
