Leeds East Airport is a former RAF station which once hummed with the engines of Spitfires and Hurricanes! It is now transformed into a Young Driver Supersite and has become one of our most popular venues. Perfect for your first taste of driving, Leeds is also great for higher speeds and more advanced driving.
Beginners can perfect their clutch and gear control, steering, braking, and reversing before going on to tackle junctions including roundabouts, cross roads, T junctions, give ways and stop junctions. Speeds of up to 50MPH can be achieved by more experienced pupils, demonstrating that this site caters for all abilities.
Make a day of it: Church Fenton is a quiet North Yorkshire village offering scenic walks and local pubs. Highlights include the historic Village Cross. Church Fenton is well connected by rail for exploring nearby Selby Abbey or Lotherton Hall. After your experience, you can visit the community owned White Horse Pub or The Fenton Flyer. A restaurant is also located at the railway station.
There are also historical sites, such as the Grade II listed medieval Village Cross on Church Street and you are of course welcome to explore the village's history at the former RAF station, now Leeds East Airport.

Follow A1(M) to A63 in North Yorkshire. Take exit 42 from A1(M)
Keep right to continue on A1(M), follow signs for Wetherby/Manchester/Leeds/M62. At junction 42, take the A63 exit to Leeds/Selby. Continue on A63 to your destination

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Fenton Ln. Continue onto Ash Ln. Continue onto Church St. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Main St. Turn left onto Busk Ln and follow the road until you reach the Young Driver Flags.
Once you proceed through the Barriers please park in the customer car park as directed by our on-site signage.
Please note Young Driver customers are not permitted to park in the Cafe car park.
