Usually used for training junior soldiers, Young Driver repurposes areas of the Army Foundation College for under 17 driver training.  Perfect for beginners and those with some driving experience, this site has areas for clutch and gear practice as well as a range of junctions including cross roads, T junctions, stop junctions and roundabouts. Parking and steering zones help youngsters with manoeuvring while parents can watch from a dedicated viewing area. Toilets are provided along with free parking.

Young Driver is located less than ten minutes from the centre of Harrogate, a beautiful Yorkshire spa town with a multitude of visitor attractions. There are a number of boutique and designer shops on Parliament Street and in the Montpellier Quarter, as well as independent shopping around Commercial Street. Harrogate is well served by restaurants: Parliament Street and Cheltenham Parade are lined with many independent restaurants, while there is a concentration of chain restaurants on John Street and Albert Street.
